AU Dean Winchester from the TV show Supernatural --

Dean was the oldest son born to John and Mary Winchester. At the age of four, his mother was murdered by a demon and his father took Dean and his six-month old brother Sam away from the life Dean knew, and out on the road. When Dean was ten, he failed to follow instructions left by his father and his brother was attacked by a creature known as a Shtriga. His father was furious, blaming Dean for his brother being nearly killed. Hours later, when he and Sam were dropped off at Blue Earth with Pastor Jim, Dean took his few belongings, one of his father's guns, and (to his shame) a handful of cash taken from Jim's room, and disappeared.

Dean is currently just turned seventeen. He's become an expert pick-pocket, pool hustler, and bar brawler. He still remembers everything his father taught him about monsters, although not enough to hunt. Only to keep himself safe. He still wonders what happened to Sam and if his little brother was really better off without him.
